In the year 2050, social communication between humans is almost extinct due to the use of technology to communicate and deliver information. A group of sociologists wish to study how humans can interact once again. They start with themselves and build an environment to foster human interaction and study their own behavior. They locate themselves in the river to not only be sustainable and respond to an increase in urban density, but to respond to the modern paradox of density and communication. They invite everyone to live in their new community that places importance of personal interaction and a strong community. The community will continue to be added onto as more people decide to place an emphasis on human interaction and relationships. Steel is used here because of its lightweight yet strong construction.

communication has been disrupted by technology. people are no longer communicating face to face and developing social skills. technology is dividing us and we must communicate again.

in the past, the more dense an area, the more human to human social interaction occurred. in the present and in the future, density has grow so much, that people put up blinders to communication through technology. everyone lives in their phone rather than their environmnet in their fast paced lives.
