A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a BA in political science, Mark Macarro is the tribal chairman of the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians. Mark Macarro concurrently serves on the board of the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA), which will hold its Mid-Year Conference and Expo from September 19 through 21, 2017.

The NIGA Mid-Year Conference and Expo will take place at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown and will gather over 300 tribal leaders and gaming executives. Attendees will learn strategies for success in the gaming industry through a number of educational sessions. Last year’s conference sessions touched on a variety of topics and included Millennials: Emerging Technologies, Integrated Resort and the Diversified Tribe, and Effectively Telling Your Indian Gaming Success Story.
