Birbynė (Hornpipe) - Original, authentic Lithuanian aerophone made out of wood, horn and mouthpiece. The first type of birbynes are made of a straw, a goose quill, tree bark or wood.
"Ebo" Diatonic Hornpipe is made of plastic horn and Ebonite - very hard rubber. Its name comes from its intended use as an artificial substitute for ebony wood. The material is often used in bowling balls, electric plugs, smoking pipe mouthpieces, saxophone and clarinet mouthpieces as well as complete clarinets. This material protects instrument from rotting (inside of aerophone gets a little wet after performance) and gives instrument loud, sonourus, clear sound which is perfect for open space. Also this, matte-black ebonite finnish, gives 21st. century look and exclusive perception when it's in your hands.
