Visual Noise the utilises the qualities of black and grey reflective material and works them in to everyday streetwear. The concept was born out of a consciousness for the safety of style conscious cyclists and aimed to create a product which could be worn both on and off the bike. The 3M reflective material is either worked in to the garment to compliment it, or added on to it create an additional design.

We set out to do a campaign which highlighted the designs as well as the rationale behind them. The photography based campaign was shot in a candid style which was meant to replicate the style of images found on mobile phone. With our camera we lowered the shutter speed to allow the camera to obscure the light it picked up. This play on lighting was to hint at the relationship between the product and light.
What the posters are highlighting (from top left, clockwise)
Rule 59: Rule 59 refers the the section of the UK Highway Code which advises all cyclists to wear reflective clothing whilst using the roads.
Ride Safe, Be Seen: This graphic is probably the largest of them all and shows a shattered Visual Noise logo. This is representing a crash, something that is could be avoidable if you make yourself seen at night.
Bag For Life: This is a play on words but is telling us how wearing a reflective bag whilst cyclist could save you life.
50% More Visible: This moon spectrum (representing night time) is a graphic which tells us, at night your are seen 50% sooner by drivers than those who are not wearing reflective clothing.
These posters will be posted up in the cities among fly-posted club night and exhibition posters and to make them stand out, the Visual Noise logo shaped space in the middle with be printed in reflective ink so it captures the attention of passing road users.
