One Love City
world outgames, Copenhagen

We wanted to make a place where the traditional way of experiencing music and performance was challenged. With a small but diverse program at hand, we decided to build a townscape. Instead of watching bands and performances from a plaza, with shops around the side, as you normally see at festivals and other places, we would then instead use the different spaces in a townscape (under, behind, on top, enclosed, open) to offer different ways to experience sound, light, views, atmosphere and so forth.
To allow different happenings to take place at the same time, without mixing sound and offer a louder and a more quiet area, we divided the town in 2 overlapping zones.
