Hill of Grace Restaurant

Branding
Hill of Grace Restaurant
Something Old. Something New.

Henschke, a renowned Adelaide wine label, branched out from their vineyard with the Hill of Grace Restaurant. Situated in town at the historic Adelaide Oval, customers enjoy delightful food and wine in an iconic location. Yet the dining experience was underwhelming.

We redefined the Hill of Grace Restaurant by establishing a stronger connection with the roots of the brand: the Henschke vineyard.

Photography shot at both the oval and the vineyard created a visual parallel. Footy boots and gumboots. A 1950s pitch-roller and an old Henschke truck. Cricket stumps and gnarled vines. The cathedral overlooking the oval and the church behind the grapes.

The logo text was retained but expertly redrawn, and paired with a bespoke typeface based on the lettering of the Adelaide Oval scoreboard. New uniforms and signage completed the fine dining picture, and the restaurant now befits its food, wine and location.
