HoopFunction is an independent non-biased basketball news site.  The client needed a brand that was modern and edgy, yet totally original in comparison to other basketball/sports site logos out there.  There was also a request for minimal color.  After researching popular blogs, I found that many of the logos were urbanized and normally done in a novelty font.  My client agreed to go in the opposite direction of something graphic, yet clean.  This identity definitely stands apart from other logos out there.

This project first appealed to me as I had hopes that Blake Griffin would land on this site and finally realize how we are meant to be.  After the sad realization that this probably won't happen, I took on this project for the sheer fact that it was a challenge.  I have never done anything for sports and wanted to do something that would fit in, yet stand apart.  I feel my style is well represented, but overall it represents the client to be the best they can.

I designed the HoopFunction logo as well as the video icon that will go in the corner of the site's YouTube videos.
The logo and icon were both designed in Adobe Illustrator.
