Sixpence Coffee Co

For my Final Major Project on my Graphic Design course I chose to create a visual brand identity for a fictitious independent coffee shop influenced by London coffee culture of the 1950s.
During this era ‘Coffee Bars’ as they were known, were full of energy and personality. I have always found branding was something which interested me and this project provides the perfect opportunity to focus on it, utilising the knowledge and skills I have learnt through my time studying.
My concept references the style of the 1950s, but I am confident that whilst focussing on nostalgia and retro design it has a 21st century approach.

There will be various deliverables which come together to reenforce my brand, such as a logo, loyalty cards, menus, branding of various products, disposable cups, signage and promotional items to name a few.
My brand will also have an online presence in the form of social media platforms. My overall consistent use of typefaces and a colour palette, amongst other elements, will allow a theme to emerge.

Sixpence. A brand which offers something different and one which will evoke emotion and feeling. My brand will be about interaction with the environment and rehumanising what has become very cold and impersonal.
