Welcome to DStv Access

This image was used for the emailer detailing 'payment options'. It played on a local saying about putting a dime in a juke box and reaping the rewards, encouraging subscribers to put money on their DStv instead. The styling of the main character was inspired by a local youth subculture (the Smarties) and the idea behind the image was to show that instead of making you broke, paying your DStv would increase the Pizazz levels of your lifestyle.
This image was used for our 'PG content' emailer, and played on the idea of letting your children follow your example and teaching them right. The image styling was inspired by another Joburg subculture, the 'Swenkas'; a group of men that dress up in extremely fancy, elaborate suits and put on meticulous routines to show off their getups. The pair in this image are an actual acting Swenka and his protege (a Swenka in training).
The image of our fancy Gogo (granny) was used on our 'self-service' mailer, on the suggested premise that with DStv you are the boss (whether you are six or sixty years old). The styling was chosen in line with the idea that 'DStv adds pizazz to your life'.
This image is a comp created by me.
This image was used on our 'kids' content' mailer, once again playing on the suggested premise that with DStv you are the boss (whether you are six or sixty years old). The styling was chosen in line with the idea that 'DStv adds pizazz to your life'. This image is a comp created by me.
For our 'decoder insurance' emailer we played on the insight that in several South African communities, where crime is largely prevalent, the best protection for your valuables is a large guard dog. Here we suggest that with DStv Decoder Care, you don't need Bobby the dog anymore. This image is a comp created by me.
