The burning sun of an early July afternoon, the old courtyard of a former Florentine prison, 50 riders and a cracking legs route to deal with just a few rules: these are the main ingredients of Dante’s Affair, the alleycat race that transformed a hot 6th of July in a great day of sport, healthy competition and a lot of passion for cycling.
This was the second Florentine event for the fixed gear riders who rushed to win many prizes, but also to enjoy a city like Florence.
Dante’s Affair derives from the desire of a group of riders of Florence that, infected by the enthusiasm of the organizers of Pitti Vintage (a well known event in the context of trade fairs), decided to combine the events into one big appointment. This is when Dante’s Affair takes shape: an underground race involving all those who want to test their cycling skills in a route complex and fun at the same time.
