A member of the Indiana Council for Animal Welfare, Dave Chupp has owned and managed a dog breeding enterprise for over a decade. When he isn't working, Dave Chupp enjoys following the University of Michigan Wolverines football team.

As of the end of the 2016 National Football League (NFL) season, there were 18 former Wolverines on NFL rosters. Below are three of the most prominent.

1. Tom Brady: A sixth-round pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, Brady has become one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, evidenced by his two MVP awards, five Super Bowl rings, and 12 Pro Bowl appearances. The 39-year-old has played 17 seasons in the league and recorded a combined 456 touchdowns and 61,582 passing yards.

2. Devin Funchess: Drafted in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers, Funchess, a wide receiver, has accumulated 844 yards receiving and nine touchdowns in his first two seasons. The 22-year-old spent three seasons at Michigan, where he compiled 15 touchdowns.

3. Jake Ryan: In two seasons with the Green Bay Packers, the linebacker has started 15 of 28 games and recorded 87 tackles and one fumble recovery. Ryan had a standout senior season with Michigan in 2014, recording 112 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and one interception.
