I love to design all sorts of greeting cards. When I draw or paint I always wonder what can a particular illustration be used for. Being a huge stationary fan I am always happy when my illustrations end up like greeting cards. So with my whimsical animals drinking tea in the meadow there was no doubt - this illustration has to become a "Happy Birthday" greeting card.
Artwork and lettering was designed and painted by me, using my standard tools : watercolors and gouache. Lettering and artwork was composed together in Photoshop. Cards were printed in a local print shop.
