"As pessoas fazem a Biblioteca" / "People make the Library" is the motto for the 2017 new multi-media campaign for the Lisbon Libraries Network (BLX) to promote their new positioning. Each library stands in as the voice of a community. In fact, BLX act as a gathering spots for different generations with its distinctive interests and expectations. More than reading centers, BLX are places of access to information, training, activities and cultural and artistic experiences. These now have a greater number of services available to consider the different needs and interests of the communities in which they are inserted.
The share of opinions through words of encouragement, joy, adhesion, recognition or proactivity, which expresses Lusofonia and the cultural and social mix of the city, make the colloquial expressions the theme of the campaign. All pieces of communication - institutional, thematic or events - present a text that emphasises values ​​such as community, belonging and sharing. The communication also aims at the dissemination of specific values ​​of each Library that makes it possible to publicly perceive the new positioning of the Network.
