This is a Photorealism drawing I did for my Drawing 1 class. The purpose of the assignment was to take a black and white image of our choosing, and recreate it with the shading techniques we were being taught. We (as a class) were told not to focus on what it was supposed to be, but on the different shapes being created by the shadows. By varying the pressure applied to the paper and blending the graphite, I was able to recreate my picture fairly accurately.
