The design puts focus on representing the diverse identities and experiences of the LGBTQ community in Kenya in a respectful and empowering way. The cover illustration is symbolic and celebrate the beauty and richness of African cultures and people, while also portraying the LGBTQ characters as confident and dynamic individuals who are proud of their identities and relationships. While designing the covers, i intentionally avoided stereotypes, tokenism, or exoticization, and to ensure that the artwork reflects the voices and perspectives of the authors and the community they represent. Op. 3 is more symbolic while still retains the human centric concept.
