Being an employee in the private sector has influenced my identity and how I connect to the world. Spending most of my day at the office leaves me with only few hours to live and interact. After being caught up in this time frame; I’m more productive yet feel a bit isolated, angry but ambitious, I sacrifice but in exchange I gain wisdom.

This series of photos show my life after working hours, where the open ended box represents the working hours’ tunnel which I go through every day, constrained by 4 facets that represent time, energy, career plans and the pressure of responsibility.

 ‏لكوني موظفًا في القطاع الخاص له تأثير كبير على شخصيّتي وهويّتي وأيضًا على كيفية تواصلي مع الناس والعالم من حولي. فقضائي لأغلب وقتي أعمل في مكتبي، يبقي لي فرصًا قليلة وساعات محدودة للتعامل والتواصل الخارجي، فمع زيادة إنتاجيتي زاد إنفعالي، وارتباطًا مع طموحي ازدادت حدّة غضبي، ولكن صرت أكسب مقابل تضحيتي.

هذه الصور تظهر حياتي بعد ساعات العمل، يمثل الصندوق المفتوح نفق ساعات الدوام التي أمر بها يومياً محاطٌ ب٤ جدران يمثلون الوقت، الطاقة، خطط التطور في الوظيفة وضغط المسؤولية.
