The objective of this project was to create a biography about someone. The book needed to have different kinds of recurring visual information. I chose to design a book about Mark Twain’s life as a steamboat pilot before his career as a writer. My solution uses old black and white illustrations and photographs of steamboat life paired with color overlays of cyan to accentuate the water which was central to Mark Twain’s early life.
