CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.

I was asked to help a client develop an identity for a new Crossfit gym that they were opening in their hometown of Maryland. The specifics were to use red, white and blue to reflect the United States and convey the Crossfit philosophy of exercise.

I created several iterations that attempted to convey the Crossfit philosophy. Things such as, speed, power, agility, and athleticism. I also wanted to incorporate a part of the city into the logo. As a result in my research of the area -- I came across a picture of the skyline that I ultimately used in the final logo. The client was pleased to have the few specifics requested in the logo and was even happier to see the use of the skyline.
