ALBANIAN SHEPHERDS
ENG: Every year in summer Albanian shepherds take their flocks, and set off, as hot air, dust and lack of lush grass is not conducive for grazing, and therefore sheperd run their whole flock from the city to the mountains. Markofce Javorr is an area located in north-eastern mountains, right on the border with Kosovo. The nearest town, Bajram Curri is located three miles from the mountain trail, from there it will take nine hour on foot, or five by car to reach Javorr. For several months, five families live there. In the region there are several other simmilar places, where sheperd live. Albanians treat this time like a vacation, they do not have too many responsibilities here, and the rhythm of a day is set by sun. Children play soccer, youth helps the elderly, who in turn take care of food and the animals. Despite their archaic way of life, globalization has taken a footing here: youth in branded clothes, mobile phones, modern medicine and off-road vehicles, but dispite all of this they still have an open friendly enviroment, with families sharing one bed, nor do the months with out electricy affect them in the slightest.
PL: Każdego roku w okresie lata albańscy pasterze zabierają swoje stada i wyruszają w Góry. Markofce Javorr to polana położona w północnowschodniej części kraju, zaraz przy granicy z Kosowem. Najbliższe miasto, Bajram Curri, znajduje się pięć kilometrów od szlaku, natomiast sama wspinaczka na szczyt to około dziewięciu godzin pieszo lub pięciu samochodem. Przez kilka miesięcy mieszka tam pięć rodzin. W pobliżu jest jeszcze kilka takich miejsc. Gorące powietrze, pył i brak soczystej trawy nie sprzyja wypasowi, dlatego wraz z całym stadem ucieka się z miasta w góry. Albańczycy traktują ten czas jak wakacje, nie mają tutaj zbyt wiele obowiązków, a rytm dnia wyznacza ruch słońca. Dzieci grają w piłkę, młodzież pomaga starszym, a Ci z kolei dbają o żywność i zwierzęta. Mimo archaicznego stylu życia i tutaj widać skutki globalizacji: chłopacy w markowych ubraniach, telefony komórkowe, nowoczesna medycyna, oraz samochody terenowe. Mimo wszystko nie przeszkadza to w dzieleniu się łożem, sąsiedzkiej pomocy i szeroko rozumianej życzliwości.
