Birth of Nostalgia // Concorde
This project was created to explore aspects of nostalgia in relation to positive and negative phenomena and collective associative memory. This duality of both loss and remembrance is key to the emotions linked with nostalgic recollection.
The designed outcome is developed to encapsulate and display the importance of loss or absence that nearly always must occur, to bring about the emotions that contribute to a nostalgic recollection. Specifically the outcome, using the loss of Concorde as a case study.
This will convey through the use of image and typography, a story of memories from multiple perspectives delving into why, and if loss can still enable positivity when recalling the past.
A massive thank you to those at the Brooklands Museum who helped this project along!
