A (open) shared space in Torino
The project title summarizes all cues thath structure my proposal, a first step toward rom and turineses intergration.
||An open space meant not as material denial but a relation container, which grow the more stronger as much the land use formalization level approaches to self-definition.

|| Torino as an attractive town for huge migratory flows from east Eu.A towm which bordered its industrial facade close to Stura river, also choosen by nomads for their settlements.
||FOCUS ON STURA BANKS
We deepened our analysis on a urban area bordered by ringroads and splittet by the river, a somehow charming which also inspired a photographic survey ( see the Project "The river" http://www.behance.net/gallery/The-river/5025465 )
The main result of our study show the river as a boundary between two cities which experience the public space in different ways : the north bank is hard designed and the urban tissue open toward the river, just watching at it ; the south banks textures are soft and the informal appropriation of space join the riverbed.

||ZOOMING THE PROJECT
The concrete phylons hold a light footbridge which split in two in order to multiply the vieuw, approaching softly to water with a ramification into the riverbed.
A footbridge which is not only an infrastructure but a tool to link communities entranched behind an invisible but tangible boundary, a connecting tool which implement the potential of peoples thanks to the spontaneous sharing of (open) space.
Intervention masterplan
Despite the misunderstanding and the mistrust against the rom camp our investigation conducted throught several visit pointed out how rom community is righteous in sharing the public space, preferring the open and coverred one.That is why our project wiretap one of its entrance, underlined by a plate shelter/stage in recovery iron, a place where to meet just by chance. A similar movable and light strucure is placed opposite side close to the bus stop.
