Accessory Design: Bags For the Homeless

Bags for the Homeless
a charity inspired project
While living in Savannah Georgia, no one can help but notice the number of homeless amongst the streets, the people in tough situations for the most part are very friendly and warm hearted. Most carried just about a drawstring bag and everything else that wouldn't fit was on their person or in their pockets. After interviewing a handful of my cities own homeless and speaking with the local homeless association, I had my concept. All but one bag in my collection are for fundraising purposes, the one bag which I called "Donation Bag" would be just that, with each purchase of a bag money would be put toward producing the donation bag and getting said bag into the hands of those that need it most. The Donation bag features, interior pockets designed for the care packages the Homeless Association of Savannah provides. The back has a fast access pocket, and the sides of the bag unzip and expand for when you need more space. The bottom has tethers attached to help the transportation of sleeping supplies. When not in use there are flat pockets on the underside to house said tethers when not in use.
