La Folle Journée is a French annual classical music festival celebrated in Nantes. Through this project, we propose to rebrand the identity of this festival, taking inspiration from the concept of movement. This year the theme of the festival is "The Rhythm of the People".
Movement can be associated with classical music in varied forms. The way the conductor moves his hand with his baton to direct the flow of music, the motion of hands of the players to create the symphony of music with their instruments, the vibration produced by the instruments when played and the way the music flows can all be traced back to understanding the movement of music. Different permutations and combinations of the musical elements such as its beat, rhythm, tempo and melody create a variety of movements of music.
The Brand Logo, the business card, and the website are static essence (that will remain constant for coming years) and hence uses imagery of instruments often used in classical music. However, the concert ticket and cd use imagery that goes more hand in hand with the theme but doesn't lose the original essence of the festival.

The poster tries to encapsulate a musical note (f clef) using elements that capture the essence of the theme (The Rhythm of the people), the concept (Movement), and identity (Classical Music Festival).
