BILL VIOLA
A book was designed representing the work of artist Bill viola.
Viola  uses video to explore the phenomena of sense perception as an avenue to self-knowledge. His work focuses on universal human experiences - birth, death etc. He developed a deeper understanding when he had fallen into a lake as a child, and he saw the beautiful world underwater, which made him realise that there is always more to what's visible on the surface

Most of his work uses the medium of water, thus water was used as the element to represent his work. For 8 questions there were 8 shades of blue used, signifying that the deeper you go the more you understand Viola and his work.
An interview between Bill Viola and Michael Nash is used. In the book of 200 pages, only 30 pages have text on them, which have been scattered throughout the book. The reader has to find the text to understand him, keeping the reader engaged this way.
The book follows a 3-column grid, where the text fall deeper leading to an image of a boy in a river, which represents Viola and the start of his journey.
