SUMMARY
ABOUT : Hello Hadley is a small owned business company that sells schoolgirl bows, headbands, baby bows, and pompom headbands.
OBJECTIVE : My objective in this project is to make a logo and Graphics Standard Manual for Hello Hadley pop up shops. This will include the logo, color & fonts & how they can be used.
GOALS : -To make a logo that represent what the company sells
-To complete a pdf Graphics Standard Manual for the company
PROCESS
Research: I researched some competitor's logo and analyzed the style, color scheme, message, and representation.
The Hair Bow Company
Pros:
- The cursive typeface suggest a feminine impression that suits the product
Cons:
- The color selection doesn't represent the target audience very well. It doesn't look "fun" and "colorful" which is assoociated with bows and young children.
- The cursive typeface stacked makes it hard to read.
Claire's
Pros:
- The typeface is simple and clean that makes it easy to read.
- The usage of all lowercase type gives the impression of friendliness and approachable
Cons:
- The logo doesn't show what kind of company Claire's is. The use of wordmark didn't represent what product it is selling.
LOGO DESIGN DRAFT / SKETCHES
I illustrated and tried different ways to represent the company in a fun and approachable way while still making sure I represent the company's description.
Conclusion: I decided to go with a simple and readable font. Also, I decided to use all lowercase type so it would look more approachable and kid-friendly. I added a brandmark to my logo. I utilized a ribbon, their main product, to illustrate the company's initial.
