An illustrated timeline to allow myself to be organized and to keep on track with the project.
The logo is inspired by the cafe’s name: “The Sweet Tooth”. It is inspired by the structure and shape of a tooth, with icing and sprinkles which are common ingredients in most desserts. The logo is also inspired by the shape of an apple, which in this case, represents health. The choice of color is bright pink to evoke a fun and young look and feel which would appeal to my target audience: Teens-Young adults (mainly females). The chosen font should also appeal to them.
From a glance, the logo should be identifiable with “The Sweet Tooth”.
Touch Screen Menu
The Sweet Tooth cafe is equipped with touch screen tables, which allows users to order food and play games, providing much convenience and fun for them as well as the staff members. Users will purchase their food with the equipped touch screens and collect their receipt at the counter. The table number will be flashed and called when the food is ready.
Touch Screen Games
Users will be brought to a code activation page upon tapping the games icon. They will be required to key in the code displayed on the receipt in order to play. Upon activation, the timer starts. With a variety of games to chose from, users will be able to enjoy their food and have a fun time with their friends / family.
Coupons Booklet
The structure of the coupons booklet was inspired by the shape of a flower, each individual coupon is represented as a “petal”, and each of them have a unique color to provide convenience for the staff members so that it’s easily identifiable. The booklet is fastened by an eyelet.The booklet also contains information on the cafe, with the “Find Us” petal faced backwards. Users may keep the booklet even after using the coupons, it also serves as a business card for the cafe, stating the website, links, contact numbers, as well as its location.
Website Layout
The proposed look and feel for the website remains the same: Young, fun and Kawaii. The layout of the website is similar to the touch screens in the cafe to maintain its consistency in terms of its look and feel, the navigation buttons are scattered across the “garden”, with the bigger ones being the more important / frequently clicked pages / links.
Recipe Cards
To promote healthy eating, the café also allows customers to take free recipe cards that feature dishes served at the cafe, so that they will also be able to prepare their favorite healthy dishes at home. These cards will be placed in light boxes featuring the cakes’ illustration similar to the menu’s such that it will be identifiable from afar. The light boxes will be switched off when the postcards have ran out such that the staff member will be alerted to fill them up again.
