Wall Art / Purestone

Wall Art / Purestone
 Wall art project, London.
This was the first wall I ever painted. It came as a commissioned project during my stint in London, UK.
Purestone, located in Union Street  is a digital marketing agency, required an eye catching mural
at the entrance of the office to sync it with the launch of their new brand identity.

We had to retain some part of the old artwork - while building a new visual and bright colours around it.
The concept we worked on was 'good, bag and the ugly'. While recreating the cityscape through sketches
of our own versions. This was a collaborative effort with Kyle Henderson an architect / artist from London.

This was the first wall I painted in 2012 - my first project in London, where labour and material costs were extremely
high. There was much to learn - understanding the brief, conceptualising a design for a large space, sourcing and acquiring
materials, budgeting, preparing the wall, collaborating with co-artists, managing the client and simply gaining the confidence
to create art in large spaces.

A rough sketch made to scale - showing the conceptualization and planning.
The completed wall painting.
