Jolly Shandy Packaging
Oh Golly! It's Jolly Shandy!
The packaging structure is different from the usual cartons seen in the market. A structure like this is sure to catch the eyes of many, along with its unique appearance, which is further enhanced by the usage of kraft paper. The surface graphics consists of illustration that is done in a style that is young and vibrant. Despite the limited range of colors, the usage of different shades of green is still capable of bringing out the liveliness of the illustrated characters.

The idea behind the illustration on the packaging is inspired by the word “Jolly” in Jolly Shandy. Through this design I hope that consumers would be attracted to the graphics followed by the structure of the carton. It is important that the surface graphics are attractive and eye-catching enough to stop consumers to take a closer look at the product. The packaging shows 3 youngsters enjoying themselves with each other’s company. The idea is to show Jolly Shandy being the best drink to have while youngsters have fun together. The tiny squares repeated on the cans and the carton is a representation of the fizziness of the drink, the can is also adorned with wave-like and bubbly elements to further enhance on the quality of Jolly Shandy. The colors used are different shades of green so as to allow the consumers to associate with the brand.

The usage of recycled kraft material on the carton is to raise awareness on recycling as well as to encourage consumers to recycle the cans and the box after use.

This packaging was a winner in the Singapore Star Packaging Awards 2012 as well as the Asia Star Packaging Awards 2012.
