Vegas Lady Luck iPhone App

Vegas Lady Luck is a light-spirited take on "chance". With it's vintage-glamour styling, it transports users into an atmosphere of vintage Vegas. "Lady Luck" would be a cute marketing spin, and the game tutorials section would make the app a useful tool for the novice gambler. The concept was pitched and sold to Harrah's casinos, but to my knowledge the app never launched.
Entering the "Lady Luck" section would launch a wheel of fortune.
Animation agency Special Agent Productions was contracted to create the Lady Luck character, and animate her movements where required. I colorized the 2D artwork, giving it more of a 3D look to work with the app design. At the time the iPhone still had limited animation capabilities, so it was crucial that I give direction on what could realistically be achieved. I had fun coming up with the concept of the character, what she would look like, and what her outfit would be.
Other special moments for me in designing this app were creating neon. When displayed on the iPhone, the images looked like they were really glowing.
