UX Design for iPad app - Huge 2014
The challenge was develop the new Discovery TV Everywhere App for the Brazilian and Latin America markets. This type of product needs to be able to communicate every time the user visits the app: it needs to feel new – with new suggestions, new highlights, new activity, etc.

My role
This was the first project I took part in at Huge. I was introduced to my colleagues and went straight to a traditional neighborhood, Tijuca, to hold various card sorting interviews with users. I designed the first wireframes and was responsible for thinking about the experience flow. At the end of the project, I created a document showing how every feature of the app should function.

Core team: Me, Feliphe Lavor, Thiago Duarte, João Mermólia.
Discovery phase
We carried out research and internal dynamics with Discovery users. At the same time, the same user could both love and hate some of the content the network was offering. There were some shows they thought they may like, but either they were on a channel they didn’t watch a lot, or they were broadcasted at a time when they couldn’t watch.
Most important findings
1. The same user could love and hate the content the network offered.
2. There were some shows they think they may like, but either they were in a channel they didn’t watch so much or they were broadcasted at a time when they couldn’t watch.
3. Sometimes they liked a show but they couldn’t remember what channel it was broadcasted on.
4. Users may love a show but not know its proper name.
5. At that point Discovery Kids was an isolated experience. If it was going to be alongside other types of content, it was important that children should not be able to access them.
UX & Design
We worked on several wireframes to define how the experience framework would be.  The challenge we faced was that sometimes something that would work for an adult audience would not work so well for an infant one, as children would mainly recognize their favorite shows through the main characters.
I worked with the team on onboarding flow.
