Jewelry “Next nature” is an answer for researching new natural materials for jewelry use. It was created with smashed shells picked up at the beach - which makes it a low cost project. The new material is high quality stone, which is easy to process. The design contains piece of an amber as a symbol of the Baltic Sea. By adding different types of an amber each set has an unique artistic expression. The form of the rings is both elegant and ergonomic.

Rings were designed in two colors - cream and black - depends on the shells color. The interesting thing about the material design is that rings can have various colors. Also by adding different types - shapes and colors - of an amber makes the jewelry unique.

Inspiration for the project was identity with local nature in Gdansk - Baltic Sea beach. The new natural material was created with baltic shells found at the beach. The project shows how public available objects can be easily transformed to something new.
