for a film production requirement under Director Elvert C. Beñares, last July 2016 at the
University of St. La Salle, Bacolod City.
The stars are shining bright
How dare they?
We don't even know if they are still out there
but they are still shining so bright
and so we still wish upon them
wishing upon the light of these dead stars
stop giving us hope
when you're no longer in heavens
exploding in the universe
and washing the night sky
with the spectral luminescence
of your once glory
the dead are not allowed to speak
but the past words still hold meaning after time
I will love you forever
I will never leave you
what we have is eternal
We hold on to these declarations
and are unwilling to submit
to a cosmic truth:
Time is not beholden
To the wishes of the heart
