Come Together
Austin's Local Music Network
This is a website I developed for my thesis project. I built the site in Drupal: http://cometogether-atx.com/ The mockups that are included below represent the design the way it should be. I haven't updated the live site yet.

The purpose of Come Together is to help Austin showgoers find local music events and connect with other people interested in those events. The site also gives local musicians and venues more opportunities to publicize their shows and attract audience members.
Notes: The navigation/show thumbs on the top carousel would appear on rollover
Notes:

When a user adds a show to their upcoming shows by clicking an "attend" link, the recently added show is highlighted in yellow until the page is refreshed.

If the user clicks the "I want company" flag for a show they are attending, the system will automatically suggest other users who are attending the show and have a high musical compatibility score with the current user (on the Drupal site musical compatibility is determined by a percent match of "favorite artists," which users have listed in their profiles).

Notes: In my ideal world, invitations and messages would be handled with pop-ups so users wouldn't have to go to a new page and risk getting lost. This is what a user would see after clicking an "invite" flag on a show page.
Notes: Other users visiting this page (i.e. anyone who is not the artist) would not be able to see the navigation tabs on top of the profile.
Notes: A show-goer profile includes a personal show map displaying all the shows a user has attended and is planning to attend. Right now the show-goer is inside his messages. To get back to his main profile he would just need to click his name on the left.
Notes: Users can create groups - generic groups, artist groups or show groups; this feature is meant to encourage people who might not feel comfortable meeting up with one stranger for a show to go with a group instead.

Abridged evolution of visual mockups
These last two designs came out of an attempt to pacify my teacher. I learned that it's a bad idea to forsake your vision for what someone else thinks they want, even if the someone else is your client.
