I was invited by Converse to participate in their Buy Chucks Get Art program. My first collab was at the opening of the relaunched JCPenney's in Manhattan Mall in NYC. I was slated to draw for a 5 hour period, but with all the people waiting in line I stayed and drew for a 9 hour stint. This was Converse and JCPenney's biggest sales day in the chains history and sales of Chucks was 20% higher than their previous record. After this I was asked to do a private customizing event for Converse and Footlocker for an internal promotion. Once again I was slated for 5 hours and finished the last pair 9 hours later. The response from Footlocker and JCPenney was overwhelming with buyers and management at both stores asking for custom pairs after the events (which I happily provided).
