Skytech's 40 Year Anniversary Logo
The task at hand was to design a logo that commemorates the 40th Anniversary of Skytech, Inc. The logo was to be modern, but also carrying traditional elements to convey the brand and its beginnings. The logo needed to be versatile in order to be placed on various mediums such as clothing, letterhead and other merchandise.
I started on paper with some quick sketch ideas that came to mind.
After sketching some concepts, I found the abstract 40 to be promising and took that idea to the computer for further tweaking.
Ultimately, this was the final design concept. It maintains the company airplane design already in their logo, making it recognizable. It also looks modern but embodies elements of a traditional seal. The text around the ring is a play on the company tagline, "Experience the Skytech Advantage". The Skytech colors are orange and blue, so the seal was easily able to convert to either color.
