Embalming: color tests

Embalming, in most modern cultures, is the art and science of temporarily preserving human remains (some may preserve for long-term) to forestall decomposition and to make them suitable for public display at a funeral. The three goals of embalming are thus sanitization, presentation and preservation (or restoration) of a corpse to achieve this effect. My project was to do embalming color test's on a live person (myself) and work within the three goals of embalming. The preserving of my face and body in this test is through documentation on a camera, photos, the public display was held at a gallery opening, and for many the memory still lives strong. The pain from the work is preserved in me.
