Audio visual interpretation of Plato's "Allegory of the cave"
361 custom-build parallel laser array and sound synthesizers, controlled with kinect sensor and custom software.

In the "No time. No future. I'm here. RIP." the artists want to modulate Plato's allegorical Cave where the only objects that can generate a personal perception of reality is their lone shadows that are cast on the caves' walls.
The cave 2.0 tries to explain modern technology which is now at the point where we are extremely free in choice of movement and the cave does not limit the person in a way that light that casts the shadow is able to follow man without his own intervention and an attempt to seize the source of light can be even more harmful than ever.
The technocratic nature of light - in this case lasers - underlines that there has been less than little fundamental differences in our perception of technology and innovation.
We are still living in an illusionary world of shadows where the difference between shadows and objects is getting even more distinctive. We are incapable of understanding what is behind the technologies that we use on a daily basis and without which we can't imagine our existence any more. Only stepping outside the limits of the cave , a metaphor for our subjective sensual perception , can we receive an overall picture of the world around us.
