Main idea was to work with not-so-traditional images of modernist era Ukrainian painters, instead of cossack-hetman-Kyivan-Rus moss. So we chose some Zarecky, Ekster, Bohomazov and Issahar Ber-Rybak paintings for background, and I tried to keep on artist styles on covers.
Final version ia a mix of best ideas, I got in drafts. Client also chose other font, PT Sans, instead of Bandera Pro, which I liked better. Otherwise, I like this cover and how book looks in real life.
