Diana Kolawole's profile

Catalogue created for an Artist

I was given a brief to design an art catalogue , exhibiting the work of Eleanor Watson ( the Jonathan Vickers Fine Art Awardee). I was told that, she liked a minimalistic approach with crop sections of her work as well as detail on the paintings itself.

I took this onboard and created the booklet which you see here. I found this brief exciting as I myself, I love minimalism and also Fine Art . So this was perfection! And just capturing and understanding what the client wanted was exciting too.
Here are two double spreads of the booklet. Mind I say that, this is only a prototype and not the final copy. In addition, the size of the catalogue is A5 - it fits snug in one's hand.
The name given for the project was called 'Changing faces of Derbyshire' . And included important female figures both now and old, as well as the beauties of Derbyshire itself.
