This is a work in progress, lighting design project, for a number of rooms in the Design Section of Faculty of Visual Arts and Design - Iasi. The name describes the two functions that light needs to enhance for designers. The first is appropriate light for art school classrooms, and second, lighting for the various student exhibitions. The light becomes, thus, a tool that can help the students develop many skills including the ability to design their own exhibitions.

Acesta este un proiect de design de iluminat, in lucru, pentru un numar de camere din cadrul Sectiei de Design a Facultatii de Arte Vizuale si Design Iasi. Numele descrie cele doua functii pe care lumina trebuie sa le implineasca pentru tinerii designeri. Prima, cea de iluminat protrivit pentru spatii de studiu din scolile de arta, iar a doua, cea de iluminat pentru diversele expozitii ale studentilor. Lumina devine, astfel, o unealta in folosul designerilor care poate contribui la dezvoltarea numeroaselor lor abilitatilitati, printre care si cunostinte in ceea ce priveste crearea propriei expozitii.

The main function of the first rooms is exhibition space, thus the exhibition lighting is better developed, while the study light is no more than enough.

Functia principala a primei camere este cea de spatiu expozitional, astfel, lumina este mai dezvoltata in acaeasta directie prin surse wall washers si beam lights de la Zumtobel. 

The space is usually lit with 6500 K light source (suitable for art schools) from Zumtobel.

Aparatele pentru Functia de studiu sunt surse cu temperatura de 6500 K de la Zumtobel.

When the tables are out, the room can be used as exhibition space with neutral wall washers and beams also from Zumtobel.

In momentul in care sunt scoase mesele spatiul poate fi folosit cu usurinta pentru expozitie.

The hallway uses both neutral light sources (4000 K) and can also be used as a space for exhibiting works...

Holul contine atat surse cu lumina neutra (4000 K) cat si susrse pentru a mari spatiul expozitional.

The second room is more about the courses so the light installation is designed to provide all the lux needed. There are also some wall washers to provide additional exhibition space.

A doua camera este destinata sa ofere toata lumian necesara cursurilor de design. Exista, de asemeni, lumini de tip wall washers pentru largirea spatiului de expozitie.
