East Hollywood Certified Farmers’ Market is managed by a nonprofit organization Thai Community Development Center. This market is established to improve the accessibility to fresh affordable locally-grown produces in the Thai town, East Hollywood, California. They asked me to design a logo to make the market being recognized and memorized by the local people; They had planned to use the logo on flyers, outside banners, and printing on shopping bags, etc. They requested me to put three symbols in the logo: Buildings locate in the farmers’ market place, three different colors of windows on the buildings like as the real buildings have, and a traditional Thai statue that stands in the Thai town. The final logo came out well even with 5 different colors on it. I kept my hand drawing lines of the illustration to make the logo looks organic style as a farmers’ market logo. I feel happy everytime when I find new photos with the logo on their Facebook page.
