This is a special graphic design I did for my Facebook page before leaving my homeland to settle down in Milan. 

It shows my mother island, Sicily, with all of its characteristics. Its heart is Etna, the highest volcano in Europe, that dominates a forest of palm trees. Lakes and creeks can be found around the area where I used to live. My hometown is marked with a tiny sand castle, to represent the place where I grew up. The typical folklore is carried by the decorated wheel from the traditional sicilian wagons. Other typical elements are the white rocksteady, the citrus fruits and the jasmine flowers, that is possible to find as common natural elements in the island. The Sicilian flag is surrounded by a sound system made of sand, as memory of the summer nights I used to spend in there. I took that plane bearing with me some real dear thoughts... that I summon inside me everytime I watch this picture.
