I had a bouquet of red daisies sitting in my apartment forever. I decided to paint them. I was always a fan of mosaic so i gave it a try using paint. People always laugh at me because i love mosaic, i don't know why? Me, i just adore it. The colors, the details, the patterns. I dreamt of the dragonflies often because i have tons of those in my garden. They are just so magical.

Dreaming of Tuscany

I just adore Italy and i went over there so many times. It feels so good everytime i am in Italy. I have been all over the place, from Lake Maggiore to Sicily, every region is so welcoming and bold. I painted this image when i came back from a vacation in Tuscany with my whole family. We rented a very nice house in a winery, this is the house where we lived. I gave this painting to my mom, so she can have Italy with her all the time.

Crazy Butterflies

When i was just a little girl my parents had a huge garden and right next to it was an appletree. Oftenly, we were going under the appletree with a picnic and i have so much great memories of that. Now, i really love going picking up apples. There is a nice place in Canada, a Monastery where you can go pickup apples, eat cheese and drink cider. A perfect moment. This painting called the Crazy Butterflies is all of those moments put together in a composition.

I just adore drinking tea. I can easily drink at least 10 cups a day. I guess it is coming from my grandfather Alfred who used to drink large amounts of tea. I also love the ritual of having tea with with a friend, it is so calming and there is a deep serenity attach to it. As for the sunflower bouquet, it was a bouquet sitting on a table at a friend's home.

Dreaming of a Dragonfly

This image comes from one of my dream. I exactly saw this image in a dream and i reproduced it. I probably dreamed about the dragonfly because we have tons of them in the backyard. I am also, always deeply inspired by the stained glass technique of Tiffany and i think this image reflects that.
