GX Buggy instructional booklet - 6 languages
This job came in to Totem Creative and they passed it on to me, as they were aware of the numerous vector drawn instruction booklets I had done before. The original instruction booklet came in Japanese with no translation. I was to decipher it using the imagery and recreate some of the illustrations. This was to be put into 6 languages within a specific size, so I had to make sure I optimised the space I had to work with.
I tested out the toy thoroughly and developed the wording for the instructions from that, how to build it, how it worked and how to change the batteries. From that I wrote down step-by-step instructions and separated them into sections, which then had to go over to various translators. I then designed the layout to fit everything in so it was clear and easy to follow.
