Mad4Adventure logo and business card - concept to creation
A company called Mad4Adventure was just starting out and went to Totem Creative to create a logo and business card design. They passed the job onto me so I studied the brief and got on with it. They are a company providing people with adventurous sporting activities such as mountaineering, kayaking, hiking, orienteering and more. I started to base the logo around a mountain, with them being such a mighty presence in our worlds landscape and with the type of company in mind this seemed like a great starting point.
I started sketching, then drew up a few ideas in Adobe Illustrator and liaised with the client to see if I was headed in the right direction. He was happy with my initial idea basing the logo on a mountain so I progressed from that. With the client wanting their company to look modern and fresh, I opted to use icons/buttons to show a variety of activities that they provide. With the logo completed and the icons drawn up, it was simply a case of finding a way to use them all together.
After discussing various designs with the client they settled on the one that they were happy with.

Further logo development expanding on the chosen logo and experimenting with the icons/buttons.
The client opted for a more colourful look to the business card as what I had gone for beforehand was a bit too corporate. I also incorporated the icons which previously had not been discussed.
