This an older site from a few years ago to go along with the full spectrum of work we did  for hello sushi, in order to brand them as more than just another sushi restaurant on the block. Positioning themselves within walking distance of Louisiana State University meant our audience was  young, visually sophisticated and broke. We successfully brought in a fresh look (locally dubbed 'J-pop') and focused on the over-all in-store experience to make an impression substantial enough to harness 'word-of-mouth' marketing from anyone that walked in the door. We wanted the idea of college kids spending a lot of money to eat to be worth more than the meal itself and we succeeded.

The rest of the project (which I'll post the other more successful parts of later) consisted of: logo/branding/standards, trademarking, art direction, character illustrations, name consulting, copy writing, 2 15 minute video animation loops for interior, interior design consulting, signage, coasters, chopstick packaging, menus (to-go, in-store, sushi scantron, and kids game/coloring menu), pencils, interior wall art, print ads, flash ads, 'hs' t-shirt brand, t-shirt designs, employee uniforms (t-shirts and hats), opening invitations, and franchising brochures.

With the opening of a new store in a more upscale area and prospects of other similar openings coming later, we have been slowly re-branding them accordingly (which I'll also post later), which is why I'm posting this now - before it's gone and I have to dig up the archives. :)
