In a time ruled by short-term memory and fads, we tend to forget what it all means, we tend to forget the mistakes of the past and be ruled by our differences. It has been over 71 years since World War II has ended and not many veterans are here to remind us of it. My project revolves around remembering the soldiers who served during WWII.
VETERAN is an online platform where users could experience WWII from a soldier’s perspective and share memories of past generations by telling their own veteran’s story to keep their memories alive. A platform to bring people’s stories together and brings history back to life. Perhaps our grandfathers were once friends or even enemies, but they created the world we live in today.

This motion video is comprised of well known world war II photographs. Perspective and motion are applied to each photo in addition to external effects as if these photographs are coming alive. A red line would pass quickly through each photo symbolizing the bloodshed during the war, with addition to sound effects for a stronger impact.
