The objective of this project was to develop a product using a smart material, in this case thermochromic pigments, which were considered to be applied in depilatory wax.
Depilatory wax strips pack - Includes: 12 thermochromic wax strips, 4 oil wipes, instructions of use.
As we found two different types of depilatory wax on the market, we chose to apply our intelligent material in both, obtaining depilatory wax strips for sensitive areas and a jar of liquid wax to be heated in the microwave. When the blue strips are hot enough to separate them, they will lose their color. When the liquid wax is properly hot it will lose its color, so when it cools down enough to remove it, it will turn orange again.
The packaging and graphic identity was also designed during the product development, taking into account the necessary accessories to communicate correctly to the user all the steps that must be followed.
