KTZ (IBM Predictive Maintenance)

Background and Concept

During my internship at IBM East Asia in winter 2012-2013, I received a task to design a user interface for a predictive maintenance web application. The app predicts technical failures on railways, thereby prevents train accidents. The app prototype was developed for Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, which is the largest railway company in Kazakhstan.

The interface was build with HTML/CSS with javascript based interactive tables, charts and a railway scheme. Furthermore, several presentations were designed alongside the user interface design.
User Experience

The application was designed in a close cooperation with both a software architect and a business development manager. User scenarios, storyboards and mockups were sketched during the UX process.
