I made this brass chain for my wife for Christmas of 2011. Working in a wood shop, one thing I'm surrounded by at all times is scrap material. And as I have a strong aversion to waste of any kind, I thought I'd put some of this material to good use! The sculptural form is made of leftover laser cut brass from a study model. I formed it and wrapped it in brass twine. I purchased a woven chain and constructed a display box from some mahogany planks. The end result was surprisingly pleasant.
